It never got close to 15 degrees there, and I was in a tent, with an additional blanket and warm clothes and a dog, still managed to shiver all night. I just spent 4 days freezing my behind off in the Utah desert. I took it in to REI and they exchanged it for me quickly and efficiently. The bottom zipper was stuck at the end of the zipper track and wouldn't zip. I did have a problem with the first one I purchased. The spoon shape and 'long' profile make it roomy enough for me to sleep comfortably at 6'1. Its light, and compresses nicely for packing. It kept me plenty warm in 30 degree nights in the Enchantments wearing only a base layer. I am pumped about yousin this sleeping bag.īest sleeping bag I've owned. Look at the science on this it's freakin awesome. It freakin has gills to help reduce heat. The comfort of this bag is just better than the rest period. I will be putting it to the test this April in Utah desert.

I know that with that space the nay Sayers will say wait till it's really that cold and see how good that sleeping bag is. In my humble opinion this bag sets a whole new bar to get to in this industry. In all cases I was wearing thermal underwear top and bottom, so take that into account when reading this. So far, I've slept in temperatures ranging from 25-50 degrees. I am 6'0", 175 with slightly wide shoulders, and sleep mostly on my side. Initial reaction is it will work as advertised. Also, I have not field tested it around any kind of moisture to see if it meets the dryness claims.

Still a little difficult to zip it all the way to the top. Made it really easy to burrow in against the wind. I especially liked the chin tuck feature. After I warmed up I was down to shorts and t-shirt with no socks and was toasty warm. Started in sweat pants and long sleeve shirt. I have not tried this in the back country yet but gave it a 45 minute test run on my back deck at 30 degrees F with wind. it is way over-rated and will not perform as represented. I took it right back to REI for a refund. For that price, the bag is a total failure. I froze! The loft is thin and my knees and butt got even colder if anywhere near against the was a cold bag with unending cold spots, depending on position in the bag. I slept inside the car with it and had long johns on too. I used this bag for two nights when the temperature was only 28 deg. It is rated for 15 deg.Way off not even close. Nemo Disco 15: I was thoroughly disappointed with this $300 bag. NEMO - Disco 15 Sleeping Bag - Men's Category: Sleeping Bags
